It was a hot summer day and I was wearing my favourite linen dress. I went to grab a cup of coffee in my lunch break. As I was waiting for my beverages on the pavement, a lady attempted to drink from her cup whilst staring at her phone. She tripped and spilt half of the brown liquid on the back of my dress.

Yes, my skin burnt a bit. But I was even more mortified by the big brown stain on my dress. Right at the back. Needless to say, it looked like my bowel movements weren’t quite normal that morning and it all ended in a disaster.

However, this incident didn’t stop me from wearing my favourite white dress summer outfit, again and again.

Top Tips: How to Pull Off An All White Outfit

1. Choose the right fabrics: Ones which can be washed in the washing machine. This white coat from Zara is mix cotton and polyester. When washed it wrinkles but it doesn’t lose its shape. And the wrinkles are is easily fixed with a good steam generator iron.

2. Wear a dressing gown over your outfit in the mornings to protect it from morning rush stains, like spilt coffee or dirty children hands.
3. Cleaning your white shoes: White shoes aren’t that difficult to maintain either. I personally wash my white shoes in the washing machine (unless they have rhinestones or similar embellishments). Just wash on 30 Degrees, with a mild detergent and without a spin. And add an old towel or something similar to the load to stop the shoes from hitting the walls of the machine.
