10 Glamorous Office Outfit Ideas with a Faux Fur Scarf

When I think of faux fur I imagine a glamorous and elegant baroness at a soirée. Of course, baronesses were wearing luxurious real fur. Luckily, modern textile technology allows creating the same luxurious feel without cruelty. You can of course wear a faux fur scarf on a weekend over your cocktail dress or on a night out with friends. But also during your 9-to-5 – layered on your coat, leather jacket, or blazer for extra warmth but super glamorous; as a statement belt or statement neckline.

A warm layer

When you’re cold you can layer an extra sweater or a blazer. Alternatively, why not add a glamorous big faux fur wrap to your outfit? It certainly makes a bigger fashion statement than a sweater, ya know?

I like to wear mine across the body and it almost looks like it’s part of the coat. The coat is plain boring black and the fur wrap makes it so much chicer.

This is also how fashionistas Christine Centenera and Wendy Nguyen have styled theirs. They opted for a faux fur scarf in a contrasting color to draw attention towards this beautiful accessory.

For transition autumn or early spring weather, you can wrap it around your leather jacket, which is not sufficient to warm you by itself. But it’s too warm to be wearing your winter coat.

Turn it into a statement belt

I like to find alternative uses for clothes – wearing my boyfriend’s clothes, or styling a scarf as a belt. So I thought why not wear the detachable fur collar of my coat underneath a belt transforming it into a wide statement belt!

Statement neckline

When you wear a faux fur scarf you usually take it off as soon as you reach your destination. But why not keep it on a statement neckline piece?
